General Teaching Hospital for NUST
National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), a university of International repute, plans establishment of a medical complex at its new campus in Sector H-12. The two faceted purpose of the project is to impart quality education and training at undergraduate / post graduate level in medical and related fields, as well as to provide par excellence health care to the community.
This provision of health care is proposed through establishment of state-of-the-art hospital aiming at wellness and well-being of patients rather than mere treatment of diseases. In order to realize the concept, rules / requirements laid down by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSP) and Pakistan Nursing Council are also to be met to ensure accreditation. All elements of the complex are to be interconnected for ease of functionality and efficiency.
On completion, the medical complex should become icon, not only in providing medical education in different fields but quality health care facility to general public and Executives / VIPs / Diplomats located in Islamabad and surrounding areas.
