Rehabilitation of Tripoli Governmental Hospital
The complex consists of two Blocks:-Main Hospital-Auxiliary Bldg. The proposed main hospital block is designed to include the existing hospital building which is constructed in 1940. The existing building has been cleaned out & utilized as minor part in the main hospital block.
The challenge was to isolate the five levels existing building skeleton criteria such as floors height, structural system and modulation together with all utilities in order to implement them as main factors in the design of the new structure to get at the end an overall uniform functional medical facility. The facades of the hospital, both existing & new, were manipulated to reflect the desired function while conserving the old character of the area.
The hospital is designed to provide a wide range of medical services for the North of Lebanon and is fully equipped with the best & newest Medical and Para-Medical equipment.
