Beirut Governmental University Hospital
The main Hospital building is composed of 7 floors with a gross floor area of 55000 m2. The hospital consists of 360 beds in the wards plus 12 operating theaters, 10 ICU beds, 14 CCU beds, 6 burns unit beds, 24 dialysis unit beds, 30 day surgery ward beds, plus a major accident & emergency department (24 beds).
A large out-patient department includes an endoscopy suite, high technology diagnostic laboratories, rehabilitation, high technology radiology / imaging services, including MRI, CT scanner, angiographer, ultra sound, lithotrities and nuclear medicine department. Major oncology services include linear accelerator, Cobalt, superficial, after remote holding and a chemotherapy suite; as well as full supporting services, teaching, and conference facilities.
In addition, multistory public parking lots for 1,000 car are incorporated in the building basements.
The Auxiliary buildings cover 20,000 m2 of floor area, and contain the following:
- Nursing School
- Nurses Accommodation (Boys & Girls)
- Doctor’s Accommodation
- Senior Staff Accommodation;
In addition to Restaurant, Kitchen & Laundry facilities.
